The DBPR policy on renewals now states:
“…the DBPR will no longer issue a license renewal card to licensees who have not completed ALL continuing education hours as required by board rule… Licensees will be reminded (by the State) to obtain their education in a timely manner, as failure to comply will adversely affect their ability to work. Practicing without a current and active license could lead to disciplinary action…”

Gold Coast has ALL required CE hours available for CILB, ECLB, BCAIB and the Board of Architecture. All classes are available both online or in class*, including the required Advanced Module hours.
*Currently the new BCAIB 1 hour Ethics Training requirement is only available as an internet based course. For Architects we provide 14 of your required 20 hours of CE credit including a 2 hour Advance Module Building Code course.
Contractor Continuing Education Programs > New Requirements
All State Registered and Certified Contractors and Inspectors are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education prior to their renewal period. All Dade County licensed contractors must complete 16 hours. Architects and Engineers are also required to complete designated hours.
Gold Coast School of Construction offers a complete package including ALL mandatory hours (Advanced, Workers Comp., Safety, Business Practices, Technical, Laws and Rules, Accessibility, Wind Mitigation and Ethics Training). Available both in class and online (Note: Dade County Contractors can only take 25% of their required hours online.)

Special notice to Dade County Contractors
All DadeCounty Contractors are required to complete 16 hrs of DadeCounty approved continuing education. Only 25% of this requirement can be done online. Our classes are available in English and Español. |

Special notice to BCAIB Licensees (Inspectors, Plans Examiners & Building Officials)
At the present time BCAIB now requires 14 hours of CE including 5 required hours: 2 hours AOA, 2 hours Laws & Rules, and 1 hour Ethics Training. For the 2010-2011 CE renewal cycle our 1 hour Ethics Training course will only be available online. Please visit our online learning center and select the course titled ETHICS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONAL. Cost is only $25. |
