This position will be responsible for the production of new insurance agency business while assisting with the ongoing service to members/clients. The person in this position will be responsible for developing leads, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing appropriate products.
The insurance agency operates within the Credit Union lobbies and therefore primarily targets members of the Credit Union. This position will be required to travel within the market and to credit union designated branches for the purposes of business development and client meetings. This position must have reliable transportation in order travel to the assigned geographic territories.
Prospective customers will also be identified by referrals from the credit union lending and contact center departments. This position will respond to those referrals in accordance with agency standards and goals. External solicitation of agency business is encouraged.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of credit union products and services as well as regulations and compliance issues both state and federal. Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC and CIP/MIP. Adheres to credit unions service standards and Core Values.
Previous experience working in a bank or credit union preferred. EZLynx knowledge preferred.
This position is a sales role with sales goals that are outlined in a separate pay plan. This position is not remote. Schedule is Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays.
