Gold Coast Schools offers excellent post-license courses to fulfill the state requirement for all trainees who wish to keep their license active.  These courses can now be taken in class or online, so don’t miss your deadline and put your license at risk of being null and void.  The next renewal deadline is November 30th, 2018, but most students prefer to complete their education early as opposed to trying to fulfill the entire requirement in 2018.

Your education requirement consists of :

  • 7 Hours National USPAP Course (Offered in 2018)
  • 3 Hours of Florida Law Update (Offered in 2018)
  • 30 Hours of Specialty Courses (Available Now)

The 30-hours of specialty courses requirement can be met by taking any combination of the following courses:

Advanced Residential Applications & Case Studies (15-Hours)  $299  Approval Letter
This is a Pre-certification course for the State Certified Residential applicant and can be used for part of the Post-license requirements for Trainee appraisers. With the aid of case studies, students will develop and apply the techniques for market analysis, including the application and use of matched pairs and capitalization rates and gross rental multipliers. This course includes a discussion of current Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Guidelines and relevant USPAP requirements.

Statistics, Modeling & Finance (15-Hours)  $299   Approval Letter
This is a Pre-certification course for the State Certified Residential applicant and can be used for part of the Post-license requirements for Trainee appraisers. The course incorporates the use of statistics into appraisals. It provides both the theory and practice of statistics, real estate finance, and valuation modeling for today’s residential appraiser.

This is a Pre-certification course for the State Certified Residential applicant and can be used for part of the Post-license requirements for Trainee appraisers. The property types discussed will include mixed use, income producing, unusual, and one of a kind properties.

*Taking your education from state approved providers is crucial for successful license renewal.  All Gold Coast appraisal courses are state approved guaranteeing that you will receive full credit upon successful completion.  Simply click on the approval letter link next to the course title above.

You can now complete your Appraisal post-license education entirely online at your own pace. Online courses are convenient because they provided flexibility, but it is important to understand exactly how online appraisal courses work before enrolling.

Mandatory Post Licensing is now required for Trainee appraisers. If you wish to maintain your status as a Trainee you must complete 40 hours of Board approved Post Licensing courses including the 3-hour law and 7-hour USPAP update course.

If you became a Trainee any time between December 1, 2010 and November 30, 2012, your second renewal period will end on November 30, 2016.  If you wish to remain a Trainee you must complete the mandatory Post License education before November 30, 2016.  All other Trainees must complete their Post License requirements by the end of their second renewal period.
