Real estate appraisers provide objective, impartial, and unbiased opinions about the value of real property. Appraisals are provided to individuals and companies who wish to own, manage, sell, invest in, and/or lend money on real estate, therefore there is a substantial demand for professional appraisers who are licensed to perform these services.
Appraisers also diversify into other areas of valuation services which include eminent domain, easements, government land acquisition, litigation support, real estate development, management and consultation of large corporate real estate assets and also insurance.

This is a Pre-certification course for the Trainee applicant that provides an overview of real property concepts and characteristics, legal consideration, value influences, real estate finance, types of value, economic principles, real estate markets and analysis, and ethics in appraisal practice. State of Florida Law and Appraisers (15-Hours) $299 Approval Letter
This is a Pre-certification course for the Trainee applicant that covers the required minimum 3 hours of Florida law, rules, and regulation and 3 hours of roles and rules of the supervisor and trainee appraiser that pertain to the practice of appraisal. Also included is a case study of an appraisal that went through the FREAB complaint process showing violations of Florida law, rules, and/or USPAP.

USPAP National Course (15-Hours) $299 Approval Letter
This course is designed to comply with USPAP requirements for all appraisers and it highlights the role of the competent appraiser. Participants will learn how requirements of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice affect their appraisal businesses. These courses are taught by AQB Certified Instructors. Please note that tuition includes the USPAP 15 Hour National Course Student Manual. Students must also posses and bring to class a current edition of the USPAP manual. You may bring your own copy, or purchase one at Gold Coast for $75.

As mentioned in the information section, the Trainee Appraiser is the first step towards a career in appraising. Below lists the requirements for becoming a Trainee.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Complete at least 100 hours of approved education
- Fill out a state application, submit electronic fingerprints, and pay required fees
- There is NO state exam
Upon fulfilling the above requirements, all Trainee Appraisers must work under the direct supervision of a State Certified or State Licensed Appraiser.
