A/C Trade Module 2
AC and Mechanical Weeknight Class – Zoom | Available In English Only
Welcome to the Weeknight Division II (Air A, Air B, Mechanical) Trade Exam Prep Module Class, hosted Tuesday – Thursday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm via Zoom. The purpose of each Module class is to prepare you for content that will be covered on the Air A, Air B, and Mechanical Trade exams. The instructor will guide you through the content for each Module, reviewing the process involved in how to tackle an open book exam and how to use the TRICK method to successfully analyze questions and learn effective book navigation skills.
Here is a list of the Module Classes required for your Division II Exam Prep Program and the reference books to bring for each Module. We recommend that you attend the Live weeknight classes or watch the On-Demand video of each Module at least twice. Then, attempt the Simulator Questions to measure how well you can find the answers in the reference books.
A/C Module 1: Florida Building Code – Mechanical, Florida Building Code – Energy Conservation, Energy Efficient Building Construction in Florida.
A/C Module 2: Code of Federal Regulations, (OSHA) 29 Part 1926, Florida Contractors Manual, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Troubleshooting Handbook.
A/C Module 3: NFPA 90A – Installation of Air Conditioning and Ventilating Systems, NFPA 90B – Installation of Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Systems, NFPA 96 – Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations.
A/C Module 4: SMACNA – Fibrous Glass Duct Construction Standards, SMACNA – HVAC Duct Construction Standards – Metal and Flexible, SMACNA – Energy Systems Analysis and Management.
A/C Module 5: Pipefitters Handbook, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology, Trane Ductulator.
A/C Module 6: (Mechanical Students Only) NFPA 99 – Health Care Facilities, Florida Building Code – Fuel Gas.
