STEP 1

  • Complete the 63-hour Florida real estate pre-license course from Gold Coast
  • Pass with at least 70%
  • Only 8 hours can be missed and must be made up within 30 days

STEP 2

Submit a state application along with fingerprints. Complete this process after registering for classes.

  • Obtain a state application by visiting www.myfloridalicense.com.
  • Electronic fingerprinting is a part of the application process and should be completed as soon as possible. An appointment is required for fingerprinting services. Please set up your appointment at https://register.fastfingerprints.com/gold-coast-schools/account-entry Monday-Friday 9:30am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-4:00pm. Closed for fingerprints Monday-Friday 12:00pm-1:30pm.

Criteria to apply:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a valid Social Security number.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Be able to answer questions regarding any criminal background if such exists.

STEP 3

Pass the state licensing exam with a score of at least 75%.

Out of State Licensees:

Florida has “mutual recognition” agreements with other states. If you are licensed in AL, AR, CT, GA, IL, KY, MS, NE, and RI, you may be eligible to receive a license through mutual recognition. Please visit the Division of Real Estate website, or call Gold Coast for more details.
