Real Estate State Exam and Application – How-to

Real Estate Applicant Application Information

  • Submit your state application.
    1. You can obtain a State application by visiting www.myfloridalicense.com, click on “Apply or Manage my Licenses,”
    2. Select Real Estate from the drop-down window
    3. Click on “Apply for a License”
      1. Sales Associates click on “Real Estate Sales Associates”.
        • Select “Initial Application for Sales Associate License (FORM RE 1)”
      2. Brokers click on “Real Estate Brokers”.
        • Select “Initial Application Broker License Upgrade from Sales Associate to Broker (FORM RE 2)”
      3. Click on “Apply Using Online Services”
      4. Sales Associates create a New Online Profile
        1. After entering all of the information requested, you will receive an e-mail from myfloridalicense@myfloridalicense.com with a temporary password. You will need this temporary password to complete your registration.
      5. Brokers log into your existing Online Profile
      6. Answer all sections and submit payment online.
      7. Once application is submitted it will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to process your application.

  • Electronic Fingerprinting is a part of the application process and should be completed as soon as possible. An appointment is required for fingerprinting services. Please set up your appointment at https://register.fastfingerprints.com/gold-coast-schools/account-entry Monday-Friday 9:30am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-4:00pm. We will be closed for Fingerprints Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-1:30pm.

  • After an approval response is received either by mail or by viewing the DBPR’s website (www.myfloridalicense.com), you will then be able to schedule your state exam date by contacting Pearson Vue.

Note to Scheduling Candidates:

Candidates taking a computer-based examination through Pearson Vue will be required to pay at the time the exam is scheduled, either through Pearson Vue web site or toll-free line. Candidates will no longer be able to pay on the date of the exam. For further information, contact Pearson Vue.

IMPORTANT: you must take your Gold Coast “Certificate of Completion” with you to your State exam appointment. NOT YOUR DIPLOMA
