Candidate Requirements:
- Florida State-registered Trainee License
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Have verifiable work history and references that confirm job stability and long associations. Response must include current professional references
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong math skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to problem solve, make decisions, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Responsible, personable, and professional in a casual workplace environment
- Ability to work from home after the initial training period
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Non-smoker
Additional experience preferred:
- Field experience and ability to measure and draw complex buildings. Sufficient expertise to inspect complex buildings to identify construction quality and type and ability to recognize and describe individual building components
- Skilled in the use of the APEX drawing program or similar CAD software to calculate square footage from field drawings
- Ability to read and understand architectural plans and engineers’ drawings
- Ability to do appropriate research and analysis of real property improvements using all sources available including in-house archives, the Marshall & Swift/Boeckh cost book and internet information from county appraisers’ websites, county clerks’ websites, map programs, etc.
- Understand the Cost Approach to calculate value
- Experience using Automated Valuation Programs
