We are committed to answering all of your questions. Below are common questions students have about our contractor exam prep program. For details on exam policies, you can refer to the Candidate Information Booklet. As always, feel free to contact our helpful career counselors at 800-732-9140 for additional information.
Do I really need an electrical contractor’s license?
Yes, if you are performing contractor-related services for compensation, you certainly need to be licensed in the specialty that you are working in. There are some small exceptions for handyman services, but the scope of work is very limited and if you step outside of it (electrical, plumbing, etc.), you will be violating license laws.
Where can I find my class module/topic schedule to know what is being taught each night?
The student resources section of our website includes class schedules as well as other valuable pieces of information. Simply select the license you are preparing for in our calendar of Upcoming Events.
Is my tuition really valid for 1 year?
YES! We stand behind your success from start to finish. We understand that some students will be able to dive into the material and complete their studying in just 2 months, while others are busy and need longer to prepare. We do not charge any additional review fees for any of our contractor courses, reviews, or workshops during your 1-year tuition period.
Is the exam prep course necessary to pass the Florida Unlimited Electrical Contractor Exam?
No, but it is certainly helpful and will ensure you are prepared on exam day. Plus, the Course + Book Set package provides all the study materials you need as well as 24/7 access to the course and practice tests.
Do I need to purchase the state electrical contractor books?
Yes, because the exam is open book, you will want to have everything you need to pass available to you on exam day. The book set can be purchased separately or as part of the Course + Book Set package.
