Construction Superintendent

Position Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the overall supervision, coordination and performance of all onsite project requirements. This includes but not limited to; safety, scheduling construction quality control and labor management. The ideal candidate shall conduct him/herself in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner through leadership exhibited by one’s actions and commitment to the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Estimator, bid finder & purchaser for single-family construction projects
Assist construction manager in developing project schedule
Organize, schedule and direct personnel and contractors
Review cost and job progress weekly with construction manager
Ensure testing coordination
Field procurement
Keep accurate field notes and produce daily reports
Respond to reports and communication emails
Initiate field change requests.
Support the quality control program.
Administration and evaluation of on-site hourly personnel
Conduct safety meetings
Enforce all safety rules and procedures
Secure site and building at open and close of each workday

Qualifications:
Experience in ground-up multi-family construction
5+ years in respective industry
Must be able to read plans, specifications and submittals
Must be familiar with Florida Building Codes and all trades to coordinate the project
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must know MS Office; Outlook, Word and Excel
