Job Summary: An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They ensure that HVAC systems are functioning efficiently, providing comfort, and maintaining optimal indoor air quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA 608 certification) and valid HVAC technician license, as required by local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC system issues.
- Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
