This 3-hour online course provides an overview of the Green Building movement, its meaning, goals, and the three rating systems that are used (LEED, Green Building Coalition, and ICC National Green Building Standard). This is followed by a look at the Florida Building Code and the recent changes. The course finishes with a comprehensive look at Photovoltaic Systems (solar energy systems), how they work, how they are installed, and the NEC codes that apply.
This course is approved by the following boards:
- CILB: 3 hours (General)
- BCAIB: 3 hours (General)
- ECLB: 3 hours (Technical)
- FBAID: 3 hours (H/S/W); Part of a 24-hour CE requirement – Approvals for this board are currently on pause.
- Miami-Dade: 3 hours (General)
- Home Inspection: 3 hours (General)
Course Completion and Reporting
Upon successfully completing this course you will be able to print the hard copy completion certificate for your records. For state-certified licensees, Gold Coast will electronically report your completed CE hours to the DBPR and the appropriate boards for you.
Course Expiry: This online course expires two years from the date of purchase. However, your completion certificates will remain indefinitely.
