This 1-hour online course satisfies the CILB and ECLB (contractors) requirement for continuing education training in Workers’ Compensation. It contains a brief look at Workers’ Comp, its origins, history, statutory structure, and legal requirements for both employers and employees. The sweeping 2012 legislative changes to the Workers’ Compensation law are also reviewed.
You will leave with a better understanding of why Workers’ Compensation training is mandated in the construction industry and how it impacts you and your business.
This course has been approved for credit by the following boards:
- CILB: 1 hour (Workers’ Comp)
- BCAIB: 1 hour (General) by reciprocity
- ECLB: 1 hour (Workers’ Comp)
- FBAID: 1 hour (H/S/W); Part of a 24-hour CE requirement – Approvals for this board are currently on pause.
- Miami-Dade: 1 hour (Workers’ Comp) Same as CILB
- Home Inspection: No Credit
Course Completion and Reporting
Upon successfully completing this course you will be able to print the hard copy completion certificate for your records. For state-certified licensees, Gold Coast will electronically report your completed CE hours to the DBPR and the appropriate boards for you.
Course Expiry: This online course expires two years from the date of purchase. However, your completion certificates will remain indefinitely.
