Florida Real Estate License Requirements:
STEP 1
Complete and pass the required 63-hour course from Gold Coast Schools.
Successfully completing this course also entails receiving a passing grade of 70%.
Students can only miss 8 hours of this course for any reason as per state requirements (missed classes must be made up within 30 days of the scheduled course completion).
Gold Coast Schools is an approved provider of Real Estate Pre-License Courses and has been offering professional education for more than 50 years.
STEP 2
Submit a state application along with fingerprints (we recommend that students do this once they register for class).
You can obtain a State application by visiting www.myfloridalicense.com.
Electronic Fingerprinting is a part of the application process and should be completed as soon as possible. An appointment is required for fingerprinting services. Please set up your appointment at the Florida DBPR website Monday-Friday 9:30am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-4:00pm. We will be closed for Fingerprints Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-1:30pm.
In order to apply you must:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid Social Security number.
Have a high school diploma or equivalency.
Be able to answer questions regarding any criminal background if such exists.
STEP 3
Pass the state licensing exam with a score of at least 75%.
Gold Coast’s exam Cram course and our entire pre-license course are designed to fully prepare you for success.
Students have unlimited review of our course, reviews, and resources during their tuition period, allowing for plenty of time and assistance throughout.
Out of State Licensees:
Florida has “mutual recognition” agreements with other states. If you are licensed in AL, AR, CT, GA, IL, KY, MS, NE, and RI you may be eligible to receive a license through mutual recognition. Please visit the Division of Real Estate website, or call Gold Coast for more detailed information.

Our satellite locations will offer classes when scheduled, but are not staffed locations and cannot provide student services like textbook pickup, grading or fingerprinting.
