UPDATE REGARDING SAFARI BROWSER

 

As of July 3, 2025, there have been some reports of issues related to recent Safari updates, although a specific update released on or around July 2nd causing widespread problems hasn’t been definitively identified in the search results

. 

Potential issues and areas to investigate:

  • Safari Technology Preview 222: Released on July 1, 2025, this beta version of Safari included bug fixes, but some users still reported issues, such as difficulties clearing history and cosmetic glitches like black lines below tabs.
  • iOS 26 Beta 1 Impressions: Reports from June 30, 2025, mention potential bugs and glitches in the iOS 26 beta, including flickering search buttons/home page indicators and issues with landscape mode, which would affect Safari’s performance.
  • General Safari update problems: Many search results discuss common issues after Safari updates, such as slow page loading, crashes, and website compatibility problems. These issues can often be resolved by clearing browser data, disabling extensions, or ensuring your device software is up to date. 

 

If you’re experiencing problems with Safari, consider these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Clear Safari’s cache and website data: This can help resolve issues caused by corrupted or outdated files.
  2. Disable Safari extensions: Faulty extensions can sometimes interfere with Safari’s functionality.
  3. Ensure your device software is up to date: Apple frequently releases updates that include bug fixes and performance improvements for Safari.
  4. Report bugs to Apple: If you continue to experience problems, reporting them to Apple can help them address the issues in future updates. 
  5. Alternatively, use another browser or device.
