The typical schedule is on-site Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with flexibility to be on call 24/7. This position is based at the Immokalee Reservation located at 810 South 1st Street, Immokalee, FL 34142 however this role also oversees a second smaller property at the Tamiami Trail located at 57257 Tamiami Trail, Ochopee, FL 34141. As-needed you will need to visit other Reservations in Florida for meetings and trainings. We’ll try to factor the additional drive time into your work schedule so it can mainly be day trips.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing leadership and direction, as well as the management of the day-to-day operations of the Housing Offices within the Seminole Tribe of Florida, including coordinating Housing property operations, maintenance and administrative functions. The individual negotiates, develops, and prepares leases, permits, contracts, and other property agreements for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Housing Department. The incumbent coordinates and monitors the performance of contractors and investigates and resolves complaints from tenants when services are not properly provided. Supervises and schedules the work of Property Staff. The individual ensures the provision of housing services to Tribal Members through the delicate balance of excellent customer service and compliance with housing policies and the Tribal Building Code for Residential Construction. The incumbent in this position is also accountable for ensuring that quality financial and housing education is available for Tribal Members.
Qualifications / Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business administration or a related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience as Property Manager is required; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
