Home inspectors evaluate new or previously owned homes to determine the condition of the home’s systems and structure. They often work with prospective home buyers who want to know about potential problems in advance. You will be examining structural quality, home systems and features including roofing, exterior, attached garage or carport, foundation, interior, plumbing, electrical, and heating and cooling systems.
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable dealing with customers and writing reports. You must have great attention to detail, strong communication skills and a positive attitude at all times.
The goal is to provide the customer and clients with the most vital information, comprehensive and an easy-to-understand overview of the conditions of the home.
This is a physically demanding job and will require the inspector to work outside in all elements, move through small spaces, walk on roofs, and get from one location to another quickly/efficiently.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Acquire understanding of the requirements of the property at hand
· Perform home inspections as a lead inspector
· Perform state licensed mold testing
· Operate tools necessary to perform the inspection
· Must be physically fit to carry a 50 lbs. ladder, climb roof, attics and crawlspaces
· Responsible for all aspects of the inspection routine and prepare detailed reports, including pictures of the condition of the home
· Verbal communication to customers of findings during the inspection
· Abide to a schedule and manage time appropriately. Must be punctual and able to follow directions.
· Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, clients etc.)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Licensed by the state of Florida
– Must have background in at least one of the following areas: engineering, architecture, general contracting, insurance adjuster, building inspector or residential construction
· Knowledge of MS Office and PDF, or other relevant software
· Familiarity with all current industry’s regulations, rules, and standards
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent written and communication skills
· Ability to use a computer, create files, manage pictures, and navigate various software’s, PDF’s and Word files
· Must be a member in good standing of a National Home Inspector Organization
· Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
