After the first license renewal period, Florida real estate sales associates and Florida real estate brokers are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education every 2 years. The current requirement is 3 hours of core law and 11 hours of specialty education. The CE or continuing education courses can be taken via distance education or in the classroom. Distance education courses are normally either books, or online courses. Gold Coast Schools offers the CE courses in all three formats.
While many licensees find it easier or more convenient to do the online course or the correspondence course, the continuing education courses that are offered in the classroom quite popular and usually sell out. Students who take the 14-hour course in the classroom often cite the ability to network with other Florida real estate professionals as a top reason for attending the classroom course. Classroom continuing education students also appreciate the fact that there is no test required at the end of the course.
